Asiwaju Tinubu Vow To Join Force With PDP Over The Zoning Of It Presidential Tickets To South- south!
The leadership of the All progressive Congress (APC) has last night 4th of June agree to go by a consensus candidate as the party zone it presidential tickets to the South in Fielding for the 2023 general election. This decision was made following the outcome of the report presented before the joint meeting of the party last night by the chairman screening committee in person of chief John Oyegun. The led screening chairman of the presidential aspirants committee disclose that out of the 23 aspirants that purchase the party presidential form , only 13 aspirants we’re certify, cleared and fit to run for the primary while 10 person’s stand to be disqualified.
Chief John Oyegun also disclose that he once brought up the issue of a consensus candidate for the party before now to help protect the image and ground of the party which over 99 percent of the presidential aspirants agreed to it and pledge to abide by the decision of the party and it supremacy as well as to fully support the choose candidate. However only 1 percent is said to have disagree with the idea unless he is the consensus candidate of the party else he will not support nor accept the idea of Fielding a consensus candidate for the party.
The chairman screening committee also said that all the northern governors has signed and pledge support to zone it presidential tickets to the South in line with the veiw of president Mohammadu Buhari to choose his successor after the meeting held last night 4th of June.
In line with these , the entire 36 state chairmen of the All progressive Congress (APC) including the FCT has equally supported that the party should zone it presidential tickets only to the Southern thereby pledge support for president Mohammadu Buhari to produce the next president of the country under it party.
In respect to these general decision reached , president Buhari have been given a go ahead order by the leadership of the All progressive Congress to pronounce his possible replacement and the best candidate of the party on the day of the presidential primary election which is slated to hold between 6 – 7 of June, 2022.
The party chairman of the All progressive Congress in his remark charged all party faithful to continue to remain resolute for the progress of the party in the fort general election ahead of 2023. He also charged the convention committee chairman and his members to see to the success of the presidential primary election ahead and ensure a smooth and peaceful atmosphere as well as total compliance of law and order.
Those in present include, president Mohammadu Buhari, the vice president, the party national chairman, the chairman presidential screening committee and all stakeholders of the party.
